Gretchen has been a Texas Certified Public Accountant since 1990. She earned a Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Accounting from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 1984. Gretchen spent 23 years at USAA in various capacities as Director of Finance. After leaving USAA, she worked as an independent Financial Consultant in Texas and California and then as Director of Financial Analysis for Santikos Entertainment. 

Gretchen has been the Treasurer and Board member for Guide Dogs of Texas and has spent three seasons volunteering at National Parks, Rocky Mountain National Park and Yosemite National Park.  

Gretchen currently resides in San Antonio Texas. She has two grown daughters, one in Austin and one in Anchorage, and three young grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, and playing Pickleball.
