Jamie Massey found her passion for the guide dog field through a deeply personal experience: watching her father lose his vision and later regain independence with the help of a guide dog. That life-changing moment sparked a lifelong commitment to serving and advocating for the blind community.
With over 20 years of experience in the guide dog field, Jamie has built a career spanning every level of organizational work — from kennel management, breeding, and puppy raising supervisor roles to becoming a Certified Guide Dog Mobility Instructor, and ultimately serving in executive leadership as a Chief Program Officer. Her career reflects a rare combination of hands-on expertise and strategic program leadership.
Jamie has played a key role in developing and overseeing innovative programs, including the creation of both a therapy dog program and a school resource dog program. Through these initiatives, she has successfully placed numerous dogs that continue to make a lasting, positive impact on individuals and communities.
Her work has been recognized internationally. Jamie was invited to speak at the International Guide Dog Federation Conference in Croatia in 2016 and previously attended the International Guide Dog Conference in London, collaborating with global leaders to advance best practices within the field.
Driven by compassion, lived experience, and a strong belief in the power of the human-animal bond, Jamie continues to dedicate her career to programs that foster independence, connection, and meaningful change.
